The New Year has started off on a very good note for Spiritual Arts Institute. We are delighted to announce that, because of people like yourself, our Fall 2009 Fund Drive was a complete success. We raised over $21,000 in contributions. Because of the success of the fund drive and despite the many challenges of last year, 2009 turned out to be the best year yet for Spiritual Arts Institute. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped. There is still much work ahead to fulfill all that the institute is meant to accomplish, but we are encouraged by your support.
As part of the goal of the fund drive, Spiritual Arts Institute will be starting a scholarship fund to help dedicated students attend classes who are in financial need. We will be sending out details about the program soon.
In addition to the funds raised, many volunteered their time and skills for our outreach program. With the publication of Reincarnation and Karma in Fall 2010, we are going to need all your help to get the word out about this new work and all that the institute does. We will be sending out information soon about what you can do to help.
We have some exiting events coming up January/February. There will be a free workshop The Healing Power of Your Aura at the Bodhi Tree Sunday, January 24 and a free teleclass Healing Relationships with the Aura February 1.
Our six-week Internet foundation course Change Your Aura, Change Your Life begins February 10. This program teaches you how to work with spiritual energy and is the key to all the training offered through the institute. We have daytime as well as evening classes.
We hope to see you often in 2010.
Happy New Year,
Dimitri Moraitis
Executive Director

A very interesting spiritual element of the presidential inauguration is its connection to national karma. Many dynamics have come together at this same time, yet part of the reason there is such euphoria connected to President Obama and the new administration is a shifting in national karma and its effect on the world. Every nation shares in collective karma whether it be good, bad or indifferent. Many elements affect national karma including the actions of a nation’s leadership as well as the individual actions of its citizens. As the Higher has said before, the United States has been working through a difficult period of national karma. This karma has come full circle and the grey aura around the United States has lifted in the beautiful white light. This tells us that better days are ahead and there will be new opportunities for the United States. However, it also indicates that things will not change overnight. We must learn from the lessons of the past and make sure we’re doing our part to build on this new positive energy. While a country’s destiny is always in the hands of God, it’s up to all of us to realize that destiny.
The Holiday season is a special time as the divine down-rays a tremendous amount of light during this time to uplift humanity. Regardless of our religious affiliation, God loves us all and uses this time to touch deep into our soul. Do your best to stay in as high a spiritual place as you can even if difficult situations come up. Keep your thoughts elevated and avoid getting into confrontations with others. Simply be receptive to what God wishes to give you. These next few weeks are a good time to take personal inventory of the year. Look at the things you accomplished and did not accomplish. Forgive those you may have had entanglements with. Pray for your family and loves ones. Pray for the world and the troubled spots where tensions are high.We have a tradition at Spiritual Arts Institute to make a wish list for 2008 and seal it after January 1, 2008. Ask the light to bless those wishes and then at the end of the year open the envelope and see how well you did. Also make another wish of things you do NOT wish to bring into the New Year and burn that list as close to midnight New Year’s Eve. Feel those things being dropped away.
