Nurturing Our Children’s Creativity & Spirituality
December 8, 2011 in Articles, Gold, Pink, Spiritual Development, Talent | Tags: aura, children, creativity, metaphysics, spirituality | 3 comments

The imagination and creativity of a child is a precious gift. Paul Collard is the CEO of Creativity, Culture and Education (CCE), a UK-based organization funded by government “to unlock the creative potential of children and young people, in order to prepare them for success in the creative economy of the 21st century.”
Paul explains, “Creativity is … being able to make good ideas happen.” This is key because creativity and culture are drivers of social and economic change.
A recent project of CCE was assisting a group of children in London purchase a new classroom for their school campus – a nonoperational, full-sizedpassenger airplane! The children came up with the idea, negotiated the plane’s purchase, designed the interior with David Beckham’s personal plane designer, and wrote letters to council for permission to park it on school grounds.
By e
ncouraging our children to imagine, to play, to think outside the box, we are instilling within them the knowing that their contribution to the world is valuable and essential. This confidence goes on to create talented individuals who will confidently go out and peruse their dreams.
Barbara Y. Martin and Dimitri Moraitis, two accomplished metaphysical teachers and authors, advocate the early spiritual education of our children to nurture their creativity, emphasizing that kids learn by example.
Dimitri shares the story, “Barbara and I were teaching the basic principles of metaphysics to young children, ages 6 to 14, who were studying to be actors in major motion picture films. At one point Barbara shared with the children that talent shows up in the aura as a brilliant electric blue. The next day the children came to class and everyone was wearing blue – they got it!”
Introducing your kids gently to metaphysics is ideal, remembering that children are adult souls in a child’s body. While Barbara and Dimitri recommend waiting until the age of twelve to introduce your child to meditation, exposing them to spiritual principles can be fun, and you may be surprised by how quickly they catch on!

A great way to work with the light with kids is to use creative visualizations, such as encouraging them to envision themselves surrounded in a golden bubble for protection, or seeing themselves cloaked in pink light for love. You can also play creative games to teach your children about the divine light.
By sharing the light work with your children not only are you nurturing their natural ability to be creative, you are also watering the seeds of their innate spirituality.

The Power of the Mind
November 1, 2011 in Uncategorized | Tags: lemon yellow light, metaphysics, mind power, optimism, positive thinking, silver light | 2 comments
A positive mental attitude is essential for a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Our thoughts have the power to lift us up, or tear us down. We have the free will to create joy, peace and love with our thinking, or we can choose to create stress, fear, anxiety, and all the other feelings that can lead to disease.
The research of Carol Ryff, a psychology professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, suggests that our thoughts have a direct effect on our health, “There is a science that is emerging that says a positive attitude isn’t just a state of mind,” she says. “It also has linkages to what’s going on in the brain and in the body.”
Ryff’s findings conclude that individuals who practice optimism:
- have lower cardiovascular risks
- experience lower levels of stress hormones and lower levels of inflammation
- have stronger immune systems
- have healthier, happier connections with friends and family
The scientific recognition of a mind-body connection in health is exciting. “Mind-body medicine is now scientifically proven,” says Herbert Benson, a cardiologist and associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Benson advocates:”Hope in something beyond illness and dedicating oneself to [hope] gives purpose to life.”
For centuries, metaphysics has been saying how the min
d influences the body. And now humanity is awakening to the truth that the mind can directly effect matter.
Dimitri Moraitis, a metaphysician, healer, author and co-founder of Spiritual Arts Institute shares, “It’s important to understand what the mind really is. The mind is a tool for the soul, just like our body is a tool for the soul. As a tool, the mind is the director of consciousness for the soul, meaning it is the mind that is guiding the soul through its earthly experiences.”
Moraitis goes on to say, “Having an optimistic outlook and disposition is key. Being an optimist doesn’t mean that you are naive or that you are wearing rose-colored glasses. An optimist is just as practical and realistic as the pessimist claims to be, and just as discerning. The difference is that the optimist see’s life as intrinsically good. The optimist will look for the silver lining under the cloud. The pessimist will only see the cloud. Being an optimist is not only the healthy approach, but the mature approach to life.”
Barbara Y. Martin, an internationally renowned clairvoyant and teacher, emphasizes how the mind is the first place to make changes in your life. “The mind levels exert a tremendous influence on all aspect of the aura,” Martin says. “Silver light for intelligence and a lemon yellow light for concentration are strongly seen in auras with a developed mental body. When someone has a very positive attitude there is a pronounced blue in their auras. These people are fun to be around.”
Our goal is to make our mind our greatest ally. With our thoughts, we create – Lets create heaven on earth.

Remembering Steve Jobs
October 10, 2011 in Articles | Tags: consciousness, Dimitri Moraitis, metaphysics, spirituality, Steve Jobs | 1 comment

It is truly remarkable to think about all Steve Jobs accomplished in his too short life and how he reflects the extraordinary times we live in. It was not that long ago computers were huge, complicated machines that filled rooms and required highly skilled technicians to operate. Jobs was part of the revolution that brought the computer first to the desktop, then the laptop and then to the palm of your hand. As we all know, this revolution changed our lives and opened up a new world of communication and exchange of information.
Of course, Steve Jobs was not alone in this revolution. Yet what he was able to do was express this technology in a way that became a type of universal language — a simple, user-friendly approach to complicated computer protocol. And what made it all the more incredible was he achieved much of this while facing an illness that would eventually claim his life.
Steve jobs with his wife after his last ever keynote presentation.
There is an analogy in metaphysics. Metaphysics teaches that the blossoming in technology is a reflection of an even greater revolution—the blossoming of human consciousness.
Until recently, metaphysics was known only to the select students in the ashrams and mystery school of the world. Today, the divine is making a greater effort than ever before to open spiritual doors and give humanity every chance to accelerate our spiritual growth. The laws of metaphysics remain the same as they have for ages, yet there has never been a better time to develop ourselves spiritually. In every way, we are at a turning point in the evolution of humanity.
The life of Steve Jobs is a testament to what can be accomplished when you put your mind to it despite obstacles. Our hats off to you Steve and may God bless you and your family.

FAQ About Metaphysics
November 22, 2010 in Articles | Tags: metaphysics, Spiritual Development, spiritual growth | 3 comments
1. What is the purpose of metaphysics?
To offer insight and assistance in accelerating the soul’s spiritual unfoldment.
2. Is metaphysics a religion?
No. Metaphysics is a way of life. It’s a lifestyle that combines an approach, a philosophy, and a practical way of living.
3. Do I have to give up my religion to follow metaphysics?
No. True metaphysics honors the divine teachings in all religions and enhances the worship and appreciation of the religion you are practicing.
4. Do I have to give up my personal lifestyle to follow metaphysics?
No. Metaphysics teaches that we begin our spiritual ascent right from where we are. Look first to improve the conditions you are presently facing, and gradually the spiritual life will enfold you in a natural way.
5. How do I know if the teachings I’m receiving are true and accurate?
When being introduced to any spiritual teaching, first see if the teaching resonates with you and appeals to the highest and best in you. If so, then put those teachings to the test. Do they work in your life? Judge the tree by the fruit.
6. Do I need a spiritual teacher to walk the path of light?
We walk our own path to God. No one can do it for us. Yet it can be of great assistance to find a qualified teacher. There are many intricacies in reaching the spiritual summit, and to do it completely on our own is a little like trying to learn medicine without going to medical school. Even a true teacher must go through training and many rigors before becoming qualified to teach.
7. If a teacher charges for instruction, is this a true teacher?
It depends. Some schools of metaphysics do not charge for their teachings. The reason for this is to steer clear of vested interest or the feeling that a student can buy their way to enlightenment. However, as the adage tells us, “The laborer is worthy of his hire.” There needs to be balance in any type of spiritual exchange. When done correctly, charging for instruction is an effective way to balance that energy.
8. Why do there appear to be so many paths to God?
All true paths to God are part of the same path, but are couched in different languages and terminology to accommodate diverse cultures and peoples.
9. What is expected of me while walking the metaphysical path to God?
Metaphysics require the sincerest effort and dedication. One must apply the principles of truth diligently in the day-to-day dealings of life for those truths to take hold. Metaphysics asks us to puts things in their spiritual order by putting God first. With knowledge comes responsibility, but also great rewards.
10. What exactly is spiritual growth?
The maturing and development of the soul’s divine potential.
The Coming Spiritual Renaissance
August 31, 2009 in Articles, Spiritual Development | Tags: 2012, global shift, Mesoamerican Calendar, metaphysics, new age, spiritual awareness, spiritual evolution, Spiritual Renaissance | 1 comment

Many have asked about the year 2012 and its spiritual significance. Books have been written on the topic. There are workshops and lectures discussing 2012, and there is even a major motion picture coming out with an apocalyptic view of 2012. For those of you not familiar with this date, 2012 is based on the idea that the Mesoamerican Long Count Calendar ends its 5000 year cycle in the year 2012. It is thought that this could portend a major world event whether that event is physical or spiritual in nature. While there is no common agreement in archaeological circles regarding the interpretation of the calendar and what it means to us, there has been a groundswell of interest as to what this all might mean to humanity.
Certainly, there is a spiritual awakening that is globally taking place. Despite the increasing challenges of life and the accelerated pace of our day-to-day existence, we are searching more earnestly than ever before for real answers to life’s biggest questions. It is natural to ask where this is all leading to. Are we truly in the beginning of a new age of spiritual awareness? Are we on the verge of a global shift?
I would like to share with you my understanding on this topic as has been shared by the Higher as it reveals some important insights into human nature and where we stand collectively as a civilization. Despite the many predictions, the Higher shares quite simply that there is no spiritual significance to 2012. While it is true there are some cosmological correlations to the date, it does not mark the beginning of a new level of spirituality or end of life as we know it now.
However, this revelation still does not fully answer why all the excitement. For so many people to take interest in 2012 there must be some underlying cause, something to drive all this excitement. We can look at the 2012 phenomenon as an expression of our hopes and fears as well as an inner sense of some dramatic spiritual forces at work in our lives.
The first thing to see is what metaphysics has been teaching all along: We are responsible for our own spiritual evolution. While the divine guides us each step of the way, we have to walk the path to enlightenment on our own regardless of the age or times we live in. The earth has gone through many epochs, both physical and spiritual, and will continue to do so. We must be careful to avoid looking for a single event to change our lives. Too many times, people use apocalyptic visions as a way to escape from life or problems they many be facing.
Some have used the current economic crisis as an indicator that a spiritual tipping point is occurring. Again we must take a more sober viewpoint and see that historically there have been many financial crises and probably will continue to be. The Higher has already shared with us that the current financial crisis was due to karma—in other words the results of our own collective actions. And while it is true that certain celestial rhythms were in alignment which to contributed to bringing the crisis to a head when it did, the cause was still our own. Fortunately we have moved out of this difficult alignment, even though we are still feeling its effects. And as long as we are learning our lessons, things will slowly get better.
Yet, beyond present conditions or the significance of 2012 is a bigger question: Is there really a spiritual shift of momentous proportions coming? The answer is absolutely yes! Without question, there is a New Day coming for humanity and the world as a whole. As glorious and wondrous as this new era will be, in fact it is a natural progression of life and part of the divine plan that has been in motion for a very long time.
If 2012 is not the date, when will this New Day come? The truth is no one knows. Only God knows when the world is ready for such change. And you should not try to guess when this will happen. Right now, what is more important is to live as spiritual a life as you know and make your contribution to the divine plan. Be the best person you know how to be and let God do the rest. The spiritual awakening that is happening is just the beginning of the spiritual renaissance that has yet to arrive.
May it be said here that regardless of when the New Day will come, the door is always open for your own personal enlightenment. You do not need some special date to change your life or to fulfill your life’s purpose. You can make the change any time you wish, as you are the master of your own destiny.
In Divine Light and love,
Barbara Y. Martin
Religion and Metaphysics
February 17, 2009 in Q & A, Spiritual Development | Tags: enlightenment, metaphysics, religion, spirituality | Leave a comment
Q: Do I have to give up my religion to walk the metaphysical path?
A: The answer is a resounding no. You can most definitely continue your religious practice and embrace the metaphysical path. As a matter of fact, metaphysics can deepen your understanding and appreciation of the religion you may be practicing. Metaphysics in itself is not a religion. It is a spiritual school of learning. The ancients called these training centers mystery schools, because students in these schools were learning the mysteries of life as part of their quest for spiritual enlightenment. All true religions and metaphysical schools draw their inspiration from the same spiritual well, and we are all children of the same God. So the key is regardless of the spiritual practice you may embrace, it is your dedication and sincerity to living your life in the spirit of truth that you truly grow spiritually.
The First Seven Years

We all know how important a good upbringing is. In childhood, we form patterns of behavior that we carry for the rest of our lives. If we were fortunate to have been brought up in a loving and supportive environment, that will carry us a long way in life even if later on we meet with adversity. In the same way, if we were brought up in a difficult and unsupportive environment, we can carry the mark of those experiences into adulthood as well.
Metaphysics teaches us that regardless of the kind of childhood we had, we have the ability to surmount any challenge or obstacle of our young years. No matter what kind of life we were born into, it’s up to us as to what we make of ourselves.
From the point of view of the aura, the first seven years of life are especially crucial because it takes seven years for the basic auric power to become fully engaged. This means that before that time, the consciousness of the child is particularly adaptable. Patterns of behavior are not yet fixed. This is true for the subconscious mind as well. Although the subconscious mind of the child is being filled with the experiences around it, those experiences have not yet been firmly established as a basic pattern of behavior.
At around age seven, the child receives what is known as the mental etheric body. This is a protective body that surrounds the auric field. It performs key functions including helping to channel spiritual energy into the aura. The interesting thing is once we receive this supportive body, it solidifies the energies of the aura itself. This is necessary to stabilize the auric power and give the child a steady spiritual footing. It also solidifies patterns established in the subconscious mind. This can work in our favor with the many positive and essential things that have been established there. Yet it can also set the stage for some of our tests and challenges later in life as it also solidifies undesirable behavior patterns.
Of course, we develop patterns of behavior all through our life, good and bad. I’m talking about deep seated patterns that are established early. The philosopher tells us, “Give me the first seven years of a person’s life and you can have the rest.” And this is a direct reference to the tremendous impact this formative time in our life has on us.
After the age of seven, we can certainly change any bad habits we’ve acquired, but now more effort is required. We all know it’s not always easy to change a bad habit at any time, but the patterns from childhood can be among the most difficult to turn around.
Here again the Divine Light can be of tremendous assistance in rooting out any difficult or painful experiences from childhood that are adversely affecting us now. The great purifying energy of the orange-red flame and the healing power of the blue-white fire can do wonders to release any adverse patterns in the subconscious mind formed in those first seven years. It takes patience and determination to turn things around, but you will be amazed at how effective an ally the Divine Light is in this part of your life.
