Creativity is essential both personally and in a progressive society. The world needs creative energy. Regardless if you are an artist or inventor, creativity needs to be part of your life. It is part of your spiritual power and makes life exciting. In today’s scientific world we tend to downplay the arts, yet both are essential for a well-balanced life.

God is creative and creativity is part of your spiritual evolution. Being creative is a reflection of God; it brings you into a higher level of consciousness. God gave you the ability to create – It’s one of your greatest blessings! Being creative trains you to become the co-creative being that you are destined to become.

Your aura plays an indispensable part in building up creativity it is where you generate the power to be creative. Once you generate that power, it will show up in your life.

What does creativity looks like in the aura? Creativity shows up in many ways. The first and most prominent is in a part of the aura known as the magnetic division. The magnetic division is seen a little above of the heart chakra and to the left . It looks like a blue sphere of light with energies radiating from it. And almost appears like its own energy center.

This is the place where you generate the spiritual power to bring the creative ideas into objective form. It is where you give life to creative inspiration. The color most often seen in the magnetic division is electric blue as this is the energy of talent.

When someone is very talented and expressing that talent, the electric blue will be vibrant and radiating strongly. If the person is talented, but not expressing the talent, then the electric blue can begin to fade indicating the talent is there but not being used.

In addition to the magnetic division, a very creative person will have flows of powder blue and silver light radiating down from above their head indicating the person is in touch with divine inspiration.

Notice that talent and inspiration are two different energies. This is because they represent two differing aspects of the creative process. You can be a talented individual but not inspired and vice versa. When the two are working together, you can accomplish great creative feats.

How do you increase your creative flow? Start by being creative! It does not matter if you are a professional artist, simply express the creative urge within you. If you have a desire to sing, then sing. Or if you have a desire to write, then start writing. Make that a part of your life of for the sheer joy of your personal creative expression. And do not judge your creativity. If it’s truly coming from your heart, it’s part of the divine flow and will be constructive.

Call upon the powder blue ray for inspiration and new ideas. Meditate upon this power and feel it blessing all levels of your consciousness. Then follow through on whatever you are inspired to do. The divine does not inspire us with idle ideas. Inspiration is meant to be put to use! And through your creative expression you are drawing yourself closer to your divine source and the creative pulse beat of life itself.

It has been said that art expresses what words can not.

A recent study conducted by Professor Semir Zeki, chair of neuroaesthetics at University College London, aims to scientifically validate the importance of art and it’s contribution to our experience of love and pleasure.

In a series of groundbreaking experiments using MRI scans to measure the blood flow in the medial orbitofrontal cortex, the part of the brain associated with pleasure and desire, Zeki found,

“When you look at art – whether it is a landscape, a still life, an abstract or a portrait – there is strong activity in that part of the brain related to pleasure.

“The blood flow increased for a beautiful painting just as it increases when you look at somebody you love. It tells us art induces a feel good sensation direct to the brain.”

Twenty-eight paintings were shown in quick succession to individuals who had very little previous knowledge or understanding of art. The artworks they considered most beautiful increased blood flow in the brain by 10 per cent – the equivalent to gazing at a loved one:

Metaphysics views art as an essential aspect of our spiritual development. As reflections of the Divine we are inherently creative – we come from the very source of creation itself.  Expressing, cultivating, developing and sharing our creativity is key to living a well lived life.

A positive mental attitude is essential for a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Our thoughts have the power to lift us up, or tear us down. We have the free will to create joy, peace and love with our thinking, or we can choose to create stress, fear, anxiety, and all the other feelings that can lead to disease.

The research of Carol Ryff, a psychology professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, suggests that our thoughts have a direct effect on our health, “There is a science that is emerging that says a positive attitude isn’t just a state of mind,” she says. “It also has linkages to what’s going on in the brain and in the body.”

Ryff’s findings conclude that individuals who practice optimism:

• have lower cardiovascular risks
• experience lower levels of stress hormones and lower levels of inflammation
• have stronger immune systems
• have healthier, happier connections with friends and family

The scientific recognition of a mind-body connection in health is exciting. “Mind-body medicine is now scientifically proven,” says Herbert Benson, a cardiologist and associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Benson advocates:”Hope in something beyond illness and dedicating oneself to [hope] gives purpose to life.”

For centuries, metaphysics has been saying how the mind influences the body. And now humanity is awakening to the truth that the mind can directly effect matter.

Dimitri Moraitis, a metaphysician, healer, author and co-founder of Spiritual Arts Institute shares, “It’s important to understand what the mind really is. The mind is a tool for the soul, just like our body is a tool for the soul. As a tool, the mind is the director of consciousness for the soul, meaning it is the mind that is guiding the soul through its earthly experiences.”

Moraitis goes on to say, “Having an optimistic outlook and disposition is key. Being an optimist doesn’t mean that you are naive or that you are wearing rose-colored glasses. An optimist is just as practical and realistic as the pessimist claims to be, and just as discerning. The difference is that the optimist see’s life as intrinsically good. The optimist will look for the silver lining under the cloud. The pessimist will only see the cloud. Being an optimist is not only the healthy approach,  but the mature approach to life.”

Barbara Y. Martin, an internationally renowned clairvoyant and teacher, emphasizes how the mind is the first place to make changes in your life. “The mind levels exert a tremendous influence on all aspect of the aura,” Martin says. “Silver light for intelligence and a lemon yellow light for concentration are strongly seen in auras with a developed mental body. In the modern world we are inundated with noise. This constant stream of sound pollution – from zooming cars, to beeping computers,  buzzing fridges, blaring televisions and ringing cellphones – is serving to keep us distracted and off balance.

In 2007 the Southern Medical Journal found that noise pollution, “…causes stress and interferes with sleep, concentration, communication, creativity and recreation.” Dr. Louis Hagler and RN Lisa Goines go on to say, “Noise, even at levels that are not harmful to hearing, is perceived subconsciously as a danger signal, even during sleep.”

How does one counteract these disturbances? Modern science is telling us to unplug the computer, turn off the cell phone, and gift ourselves with relaxation. Science is realizing what the mystics have known all along ~ silence is essential.

Metaphysics teaches that silence is one of the master keys of enlightenment, and is a sign of a highly developed soul.  Silence really has nothing to do with sound ~ true silence is a state of mind, a state of being where you feel the oneness of God. When you are in the silence, the challenges of the world no longer have a disturbing effect on you.

Barbara Y. Martin emphasizes the importance of silence, “When someone has developed that spiritual silence, what the mystics call “the silence of peace and the peace of silence”, it shows up in the aura as a beautiful, brilliant white light. This white light is a hard earned energy and an indication of higher spiritual status.”

One of the greatest tools to gain this inner peace is meditation. By meditating,  you develop your ability to receive from God and deepen your ability to access the divine stillness. The connection builds and becomes stronger as you work on it. As the connection grows your life will being to unfold in a more harmonious manner. You will be able to respond instead of react to life’s challenges, and a sweet joy will bloom in your heart.

To begin attuning to the spiritual attribute of silence, Martin recommends meditating with the purple ray of peace. Visualize the purple ray blanketing you in serenity and tranquility. Meditate with this energy for a few minutes and feel any trouble or irritations dropping away. Especially envision this energy blessing your nerves releasing stress.

Another wonderful tool is deep, slow breathing. By slowing our breath we slow our heartbeat and lower our blood pressure. This triggers a relaxation response in the body and mind.

No matter where you may find yourself, you have the ability to tune in and connect to Spiritual Silence.  As quoted in Psalms 46:

“Be still and know I am God.”

The simple act of being thankful has the power to transform our lives.  U.C. Davis professor Robert Emmons is the world’s leading authority on the study of gratitude. Since beginning his research in the early 1990′s, Professor Emmons has conducted numerous experiments with remarkable results.

Through his research Emmons has found that individuals who record their reasons for giving thanks in a gratitude journal on a daily basis feel more loving, forgiving, joyful, enthusiastic, healthy and optimistic.

Summary of Findings:

• In an experimental comparison, those who kept gratitude journals on a weekly basis exercised more regularly, reported fewer physical symptoms, felt better about their lives as a whole, and were more optimistic about the upcoming week compared to those who recorded hassles or neutral life events (Emmons & McCullough, 2003).
• A related benefit was observed in the realm of personal goal attainment: Participants who kept gratitude lists were more likely to have made progress toward important personal goals (academic, interpersonal and health-based) over a two-month period compared to subjects in the other experimental conditions.
• A daily gratitude intervention (self-guided exercises) with young adults resulted in higher reported levels of the positive states of alertness, enthusiasm, determination, attentiveness and energy compared to a focus on hassles or a downward social comparison (ways in which participants thought they were better off than others).
• Participants in the daily gratitude condition were more likely to report having helped someone with a personal problem or having offered emotional support to another, relative to the hassles or social comparison condition.
• In a sample of adults with neuromuscular disease, a 21-day gratitude intervention resulted in greater amounts of high energy positive moods, a greater sense of feeling connected to others, more optimistic ratings of one’s life, and better sleep duration and sleep quality, relative to a control group.
• Children who practice grateful thinking have more positive attitudes toward school and their families (Froh, Sefick, & Emmons, 2008).

Metaphysics emphasizes the importance of gratitude. According to Barbara Y. It also can also show up as brilliant gold light in the Hermetic center (heart chakra), showing the confidence and outgoing nature gratitude can bring.
