Winter has been a busy time for the institute as we have been reorganizing our activities. Our new book Karma and Reincarnation is being released through Penguin/Tarcher in October 2010. We are planning a national tour which will include Chicago, New York, Portland, Seattle as well as San Francisco and Los Angeles. We have organized three new committees designed to help facilitate the functions of the institute. We now have fundraising, outreach and scholarships committees. Our thanks to all who are volunteering their time to help make these efforts a success. Now that these committees are in motion, we will be calling on you to help spread the word about our work and to let people know about the new reincarnation book.
We have some exciting events coming up in April. We will be at The Soul of Yoga in Encinitas April 10 for an exciting workshop Your Aura and the Inspired Mind. We will follow up in the theme of this newsletter in our April free teleclass The Spiritual Purpose of Money on Tuesday April 13.
Our six-week Internet foundation course Change Your Aura, Change Your Life begins April 21. This program teaches you how to work with spiritual energy and is the key to all the training offered through the institute. Registration begins March 15! We have daytime as well as evening classes.

The New Year has started off on a very good note for Spiritual Arts Institute. We are delighted to announce that, because of people like yourself, our Fall 2009 Fund Drive was a complete success. We raised over $21,000 in contributions. Because of the success of the fund drive and despite the many challenges of last year, 2009 turned out to be the best year yet for Spiritual Arts Institute. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped. There is still much work ahead to fulfill all that the institute is meant to accomplish, but we are encouraged by your support.
As part of the goal of the fund drive, Spiritual Arts Institute will be starting a scholarship fund to help dedicated students attend classes who are in financial need. We will be sending out details about the program soon.
In addition to the funds raised, many volunteered their time and skills for our outreach program. With the publication of Reincarnation and Karma in Fall 2010, we are going to need all your help to get the word out about this new work and all that the institute does. We will be sending out information soon about what you can do to help.
We have some exiting events coming up January/February. There will be a free workshop The Healing Power of Your Aura at the Bodhi Tree Sunday, January 24 and a free teleclass Healing Relationships with the Aura February 1.

We are delighted to announce our Fall 2009 Fund Drive. We are most grateful to you who support the institute and have helped bring us to the place we are today. This year, we need your help to expand our activities. Of course as a nonprofit, we depend on public support to function. Tuition and book sales alone are not enough. Steady donations keep our classes going and all of the institute’s functions, as well as allow us to offer our programs at very affordable fees.
In addition this year, we are presenting a vision, the future of where Spiritual Arts Institute is going. It’s our goal to have our own Spiritual Arts Center/Retreat-a sanctuary for spiritual light workers. This will be a place to conduct physical/Internet classes, workshops, retreats, consultations, guest lectures, and much more. It’s our aim to build this community center in the next five years. We will have more information about the Spiritual Arts Vision Plan on our website very soon.
As part of our expansion, we’re delighted to announce that Penguin/Tarcher, one of the most respected names in publishing, will release the new Reincarnation & Karma book in Fall 2010. It’s your support of our 2008 Fund Drive that helped make this happen. All of the proceeds from the book will go to the institute. With Penguin’s wide distribution, we will reach a much greater audience which will greatly expand the awareness of the spiritual work we do.
As part of our fundraiser, we are setting up a scholarship fund so financial concerns do not impede students taking classes. This scholarship will be in place for our next cycle of new classes which include the foundation course Change Your Aura, Change Your Life that begins February 10, 2010. In addition to financial support, we are calling for those who wish to donate time and/or services. There is much work that lies ahead. The demand for quality metaphysical training is only going to increase and it will require the efforts of us all to succeed in serving our collective part in the divine plan.

Join us in an exciting Fall line up of classes and events. Starting September 6, we will be in Japan! Natural Spirit Publisher has invited Barbara and Dimitri to lecture in Tokyo in preparation for the Japanese release of The Healing Power of Your Aura. September 26, we are returning to Columbus, Ohio for an exciting workshop Reincarnation & Karma. Discover how you can effectively resolve karmic issues and accelerate your spiritual development. Our thanks go to Trisha and Tom Kelly at the Soul of Yoga for hosting a wonderful reincarnation event in Encinitas in August.
We will continue this issue’s theme The Coming Spiritual Renaissance at the Bodhi Tree in Los Angeles, Sunday, October 4 at 3:00pm. We are also offering this workshop in our next teleclass, Monday, October 5 at 6:30 pm PST. Both events are free and we encourage you to invite your friends. This August, we had our first meeting with the new Spiritual Arts Institute board which now includes A.J. Le Shay, Patricia Bowman, Mark Hafeman, John Harrison, Melinda Noble as well as Barbara and Dimitri. Our first meeting was dynamic and constructive and we are laying down the groundwork for future activities of the institute. We will be calling on you to contribute your ideas and support to help Spiritual Arts Institute reach its mission to outreach the spiritual work to as many people as we can.

A big thank you to the folks at Soul of Yoga and all of you who attended the Connecting with the Spiritual Worlds workshop last weekend. We had a wonderful time, and greatly enjoyed meeting all the new people and seeing familiar ones too. We look forward to seeing you all again on our next visit!
