To live simply is to learn to let go. By letting go of the need to be right, the need to have/do/be more, the need for others approval, etc., we free ourselves from the illusions of this world and begin to bear witness to the inherent divinity present in all things, at all times.

How do we learn let go?
We have been blessed with an abundance of tools to assist us in becoming ever more aware of the beauty of THIS moment. Luckily for us they are accessible and enjoyable!

Color:
Colors are various gradations of Light perceived by the physical eye. In metaphysics color is seen as spiritual energy and can be defined as,  “Divine Light that propels the life force of God to all creation.” (Change Your Aura, Change Your Life) With this understanding of color, we can become more centered, more loving, more peaceful just by the colors we surround ourselves with. One of the easiest ways to use the power of color is to mindfully choose the colors we dress ourselves in. If you’re needing more vitality, wear red. If you are in need of balance and harmony, green is the way to go. Needing to tap into some inspiration? Powder blue will assist you.

Affirmations:
Our thinking has a direct impact on the quality of our lives. By declaring affirmations with spiritual power and sincerity, we attune our mind to the positive flow of the universe and attract into our lives the experiences our hearts are most desiring. Affirmations are positive declarations – they do not contain the words “not” or “never”.  An example of this would be instead of saying, “I am not sick” say, “I accept only perfect health”.

Movement:
One of the easiest ways to center and let go is by becoming present to movement of our breath. By peacefully observing the inhale and exhale, the gentle rise and the fall of the belly, we slow our heart rate down, calm the nerves, and release tension. This small act can completely transform our reality. The next time you are feeling rushed, or are in the midst of a challenging experience, stop for a moment and take a deep inhale through your nose and exhale out through your mouth. Repeat this cycle at least 3 times, allowing your chest to soften and your stomach to expand. To add to the calming effect, when you exhale let out a sigh, a deep, “Ahhhhhh”. This sound alerts our subconscious that its safe and tells the muscles in our bodies to release and let go.

Your Emotional Nature is instrumental in your development as a spiritual being. Your Emotional states of consciousness are  going to make or break you, no matter how much knowledge you’ve acquired – If you cannot conquer challenging emotional states, you’re going nowhere spiritually.

In the natural rhythm of life there are ups and downs. It is when you are down that your faith and your spirit are given the opportunities to fully embody all you are and put into practice the tools you have learned.  If during these time of difficulty you act out emotionally, you’re going to stay right in that lower state of consciousness. When you are emotionally toxic you poison not only others, but yourself as well. In this state you cannot get into that Higher consciousness because too much of your spiritual reserves are going to rebuild your emotions and bring them back into balance.

How can you remain centered durning times of pain, worry, saddness, stress, etc,? Working with the emerald green ray of balance and harmony is wonderful to help steady the emotional nature. Meditate on the brilliant emerald green ray, seeing it activating your chakras. Engage with nature to soak in the soothing, living green of life. You can also wear green to help inspire you to remain balanced and calm.

A: This is a question that burns in many people’s minds, and is on our list of the 10 most asked questions. It is essential that each of us ponder this question. Too many people live life without really asking what their purpose is. The first thing to realize is that each of us has a purpose. We are not meant to walk through life aimlessly even though it may feel like that at times. There is a grand plan of life that we are all part of. A second thing to see is that somewhere in your consciousness, you already know what your purpose is. You already know what you are meant to do. This is a wonderful energy to use in a variety of situations. The purpose of this ray is to help keep you spiritually centered. There are so many things that try to pull you in one direction or another that this energy helps keep everything moving in harmony and maintains your spiritual equilibrium. How interesting that the nucleus of your heart center—the energetic focal point for all your personal activities—is emerald green. This shows how vital this spiritual power is.If you feel like your life is too hectic or you’re always struggling to catch up, this is an excellent energy to call on to bring your aura and consciousness back into balance. Remember, it’s your job to stay in your own spiritual rhythm regardless of what is going on around.
