This winter has marked the fulfillment of one of the primary goals of Spiritual Arts Institute – to establish its comprehensive teaching program. It has been the philosophy of the institute that quality spiritual instruction takes time. While you can become inspired and motivated with a weekend workshop, to see real long-term change in your spiritual development takes sustained effort. With the establishment of the Teacher Training Program, the full range of spiritual instruction is now available. Whether you are looking to make strong personal/spiritual improvement, to become a spiritual healer, or wishing to make metaphysics a career, these opportunities await you here at the institute.
Through these challenging times, the institute has held a steady course. Our student enrollment and book sales have remained strong and in some cases increased. This reflects the commitment and quality of those taking the courses as well as the enduring quality of the teachings themselves. It also reflects the fact that we have been able to keep our courses affordable. Many organizations charge considerably more for what they offer. We have done our best to keep tuition fees reasonable, but this has only been possible with donation support.
Donations are a key element of the institute’s success. We simply cannot function without steady public support. In 2008, donations accounted for 27% of our total revenue. Donation dollars go to four key areas: operational expenses of the institute, printing and maintenance costs of our existing titles, promoting of the institute and classes, and publishing new titles.
Many have been asking when the new reincarnation and karma book will be published. I am delighted to announce that the manuscript is finished but regret to say that we do not yet have the full funds needed to effectively produce, publish and promote the book. While 2008 was our best year yet in donations, we still fell considerably short of our needed fundraising goals. We are diligently working on a solution and will update you in our next newsletter.
The institute has some exciting events coming up in March. The Aura and Your Career follows the theme of this month’s newsletter. It will be at the Bodhi Tree in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 29 at 3pm. We are also offering this workshop in our next teleclass on Monday, March 30 at 6:30 pm PST. Our foundation course, Change Your Aura, Change Your Life begins April 15. This program teaches you how to work with spiritual energy and is the key to all the training offered through the institute.
While our next fund drive is not until the Fall, the institute needs steady donation support throughout the year. In 2008, approximately half our donations were given throughout the year and the other half during the fund drive itself. We have on our website a great feature where you can donate monthly. Simply click the recurring feature on the donation and that amount will be charged once a month for a long as you wish. The donation is made automatically and you can cancel at any time.
