Q: How can I discover my purpose in life?
A: This is a question that burns in many people’s minds, and is on our list of the 10 most asked questions. It is essential that each of us ponder this question. Too many people live life without really asking what their purpose is. The first thing to realize is that each of us has a purpose. We are not meant to walk through life aimlessly even though it may feel like that at times. There is a grand plan of life that we are all part of. A second thing to see is that somewhere in your consciousness, you already know what your purpose is. You already know what you are meant to do. This tells us that part of the journey of life is to rediscover that purpose. It’s our job to be persistent and find our purpose no matter how long it takes. No one can do that for us.
An interesting spiritual energy to work with in meditation if you feel disconnected is the emerald green ray of balance. This energy ray can help bring you back in harmony with your purpose, and the spiritual rhythm of life.
Q: How can the aura help when spouses begin to feel less compatible with each other?
A: As we know, there are many dynamics that go into creating and sustaining a successful marriage. Love is always number one. Without love, no marriage can sustain itself to grow and mature. Certainly we have to be adaptable and demonstrate a dedication to make the relationship work. If you feel that something is not as harmonious as it was with your spouse, the aura can most definitely help. Ask to receive the deep rose-pink ray of spiritual love in all levels of your being to release any fears, irritations or resentments that might be disturbing the relationship. Ask that the angels of love “according to divine law and love” go to your spouse so that he or she be blessed in the love ray as well. This will help you to see things from a fresh perspective and will have an elevating effect on your aura and relationship.
A very interesting spiritual element of the presidential inauguration is its connection to national karma. Many dynamics have come together at this same time, yet part of the reason there is such euphoria connected to President Obama and the new administration is a shifting in national karma and its effect on the world. Every nation shares in collective karma whether it be good, bad or indifferent. Many elements affect national karma including the actions of a nation’s leadership as well as the individual actions of its citizens. As the Higher has said before, the United States has been working through a difficult period of national karma. This karma has come full circle and the grey aura around the United States has lifted in the beautiful white light. This tells us that better days are ahead and there will be new opportunities for the United States. However, it also indicates that things will not change overnight. We must learn from the lessons of the past and make sure we’re doing our part to build on this new positive energy. While a country’s destiny is always in the hands of God, it’s up to all of us to realize that destiny.
Let us say a prayer for the upcoming presidential inauguration. This is the
time to pray for the country and the collective destiny we share in. Our
prayers go to the outgoing and the incoming presidents and their families.
When a new president is sworn into office, there is a beautiful blessing of
golden light from the divine. This light is to give power and wisdom in the
many decisions a president has to make on behalf of the people entrusted in
his or her care. There is also a blessing of white light which gives
spiritual power in dealing with national karma.
In case you missed the Bodhi Tree event on relationships, we’ll be having a teleconference call on The Aura and Relationships next Wednesday, January 21st at 6:30 p.m. We’ll be discussing how you can work with your aura to heal relationship issues and create the relationships you desire.
A big thank-you to all those of you who were at the Bodhi Tree Relationships event on Sunday. We had a full house, even with the record heat wave! It was wonderful to meet all the new faces and see the familiar ones too – we had a great time! We hope to see you at the next Bodhi Tree event in March.

When we relate with other people, not only is there an exchange of thoughts and emotions, but there is an exchange of spiritual energy as well. This can most clearly be seen in our aura. In fact, there is a steady exchange of energy when we are interacting with others. This is by divine design of course. If there were no exchange of energy, we could not connect with people and our relationships would have no meaning.
As we know, our relationships are not always of the highest order. It is all too easy for anger, resentment, frustration and disappointment to set in and this disturbs the quality of our relationships. We must be very careful as an exchange of negative energy from one aura to another has a debilitating effect on the sender and the receiver. Most of the time, we’re not aware that we may be sending or receiving negative energy. Yet we’re certainly aware when an exchange with another person has left us happy or sad.
Here are a few simple guidelines to help you work with your aura in any difficult interaction with others. First recognize that the goal of any relationship is to come from a place to love. Love is the key to healing any relationship friction. So your first job is to work with the deep rose-pink ray to uplift yourself and the other person.
Second, no one has the right to step into your auric field unless somewhere you permit that to happen. This means if you are faced with a difficult relationship, you have to stand up for yourself and refuse to become a victim in any way. If you feel an exchange with another person is heading into a negative direction, see yourself in a golden bubble of protective light and silently refuse any negative energy that may be directed at you. By refusing the destructive energy, you’re helping diffuse the situation which will help all people involved. It’s also a good idea to shower your entire aura with the gold light to build more dynamic power in your dealings with others.
If you’re the one who has sent negative energy to another person, then it is a good idea to work with the white light. Ask that the white light go to that person to release any negative energy you may have sent as well as to derail the destructive effect it may have had on them. Do your best to think kindly of that person. If you find it difficult to do, reaffirm the spiritual perspective with an affirmation such as, “I let this go and put this person in God’s loving hands. I refuse to think badly about this person.” This will help avoid the transmission of any destructive energy.
We are all precious in God’s sight regardless of the mistakes we may make. Being dynamic and strong as well as loving and kind is the key to creating healthy and productive relationships.

Happy New Year! We are looking forward to a very active year as we are offering more classes than ever before. Our foundation course, Change Your Aura, Change Your Life begins February 4, 2009! This foundation program teaches you how to work with spiritual energy and is the key to all the training offered through the institute.
We are most grateful to all who contributed to our 2008 Fund Drive. Last year, the institute raised over $30,000 from donations. It is your support that keeps Spiritual Arts Institute thriving! To kick start donations for 2009, we have on our website a great feature where you can donate monthly. Simply click the recurring feature on the donation page and that amount will be charged once a month for a long as you wish. The donation is made automatically and you can cancel at any time. Any amount is welcomed! Click here to donate.
Our first event in January, The Aura of Relationships, follows the theme of this month’s newsletter. It will be at the Bodhi Tree in Los Angeles, Sunday, January 11 at 3pm. We are also offering this workshop in our next teleclass, Wednesday, January 21 at 6:30 pm PST. Both events are free and we encourage you to invite your friends.
Our 2008 Spiritual Arts Institute Retreat was a great success. Our thanks again go to Victoria Jennings, Gabriella Taylor, Joanne Flory and The Joshua Tree Retreat Center for all their help. The retreat was the highlight of the year for us and the energy and fellowship were extraordinary.
We hope to see you often in the New Year!
